For Colombians living in Miami, a beacon of familiarity has emerged – The Paisas Market and Butcher Shop. This supermarket endeavors to bring a slice of Latin America to the United States, specifically Miami, Florida, by offering around 1,800 Colombian products, allowing migrants to feel a bit closer to their homeland.

A social media sensation

The supermarket gained viral attention on platforms like TikTok, where clips showcase the diverse array of Colombian products available. These items, easily found in Colombia, are almost impossible to get hold of in the United States, making the supermarket a go-to destination for Colombian expatriates.

With over 15,000 followers on TikTok, the supermarket’s profile shares insights into its growth. Many claim to be satisfied customers, recommending the store to fellow Colombians liviing in the United States.

As per their social media updates, Don Javier is the founder of this supermarket, which attracts not only thousands of Colombian residents in Florida annually, but also other Americans and people of various nationalities keen on trying Colombian products.

Beyond offering packaged goods, sodas, and other well-known Colombian brands, The Paisas Market also prepares traditional dishes such as morcilla, tamales, and arepas. Despite the challenges of exporting Colombian products to the United States, they emphasize providing a friendly and cost-effective shopping opportunity for their customers.

On social media, the supermarket gives its operating hours as being from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm on weekdays and Saturdays, with a Sunday closing time of approximately 7:00 pm.
