The Office of the Attorney General of the Nation, where Colombian prosecutor Angélica Monsalve is employed, revealed on Wednesday that following a comprehensive investigative effort, they have accumulated substantial evidence. This evidence appears to substantiate allegations that in 2022, Angelica Maria Monsalve, serving as Deputy Prosecutor overseeing circuit judges, purportedly solicited funds through an intermediary with the intent of influencing the outcome of a case within her jurisdiction.

As a result of the extensive investigative efforts, the impending legal process takes a significant turn as a prosecutor hailing from the Specialized Directorate against Corruption is poised to initiate formal charges against the implicated official.
