On September 23rd and 24th, the Cordillera Festival will take place in Simon Bolivar Park in Bogota. Among the participating groups in this second event, the headliners include Juanes, Residente, Andrés Calamaro, Café Tacvba, and Los Ángeles Azules.
The festival was first held last year, and was a great success, attracting approximately 60,000 attendees over the two-day event. It is a festival that brings together Spanish music and environmental culture, featuring a mix of Latin American genres and showcasing both emerging artists and established musicians.
An environmentally conscious festival
One of the festival’s characteristics is the promotion and education of environmental values. In line with this, according to the radio station Radiónica, the organizers will campaign for the reforestation of the Páramo de La Cuchilla in Guasca (Cundinamarca) this year. For every ticket purchased, a native tree or plant will be planted in the region, located about 50 km northeast of Bogota.
Day 1: September 23rd
The first day of the festival, Saturday, September 23rd, is dedicated to reggae rhythms and will feature the following groups: Residente, Café Tacvba, Bomba Estéreo, Los Ángeles Azules, Los Caligaris, Damian Marley, 2 Minutos, Los Bunkers, Dama Gratis, Diamante Eléctrico, Plastilina Mosh, Dread Mar-1, Siddartha, José González, Superlitio, 1280 almas, Bella Álvarez, Los espíritus, Margarita siempre viva, Mónica Girlado, and Silvestre y la naranja.
Day 2: September 24th
The second and final day, Sunday, September 24th, will focus more on singer-songwriters. The performances will be by Andrés Calamaro, Juanes, Los Cafres, Cuarteto de Nos, Cultura Profética, Cypress Hill, Enanitos Verdes, Jorge Drexler, Vicente García, Wos, Claudio Narea playing Los Prisioneros, Monsieur Periné, Nach, Rawayana, Vetusta Morla, Ácido Pantera, Los Áñez, Astronomía interior, Dorian, Ile, and Juan Pablo Vega.
Tickets now on sale
Ticket sales for the festival opened on Monday, June 26th, at 9 am for clients of Grupo Aval banks. For the general public, who can purchase tickets using any payment method, sales will begin on Wednesday, June 28th.
The ticket prices are divided into VIP and General categories. The price for the two-day combo ticket ranges from 885,000 pesos to 1,100,000 pesos plus service fees.
